Advertising: Media Sales Week 1

First things first! We looked at what is involved in the unit (and how it is assessed) and I gave out a draft schedule (with the warning that I was going to have to 'rejig' this as we only have 10 sessions to complete........)  Then we reviewed the resources we would be using, including this blog, support notes (they'll be issued this week), websites and me and you.  I also created an email contact list as that is my preferred method of communication.  Please use this to communicate with me and make sure you check your account on a regular basis.

Then you got to work to provide definitions and descriptions of the following terms:  

  • Advertising
  • Promotional Mix
  • Sales
  • Media sales
  • Media
  • Advertising media

Following this we concluded the session with short presentations from the groups to articulate their findings.  Well done!
